What teachers don’t want you to know… (SPOILER: Your late night cramming sessions aren’t that useless! 😲🤫)

The truth about cramming? Keep reading…😉

What would I have never told my students?

The answer is easy…

If you’re going through a late night study session, trying to cram all the information in before your test the next morning, you might hear your teacher’s voice in your head saying:

➡️ “Studying last minute is useless” 🧐

➡️ “You won’t remember a thing if you get all your studying done last night before the test” 🧐

However, a person can actually remember quite a lot through cramming

You can remember a significant amount after a cramming session FOR ABOUT 18 to 36 HOURS! (So you might remember it for your test tomorrow.)

BUT…

Within a week’s worth of time about 75% of that MATERIAL WILL BE LOST..

That means that cramming sessions are not useful if you have a class that continues and builds up on what you learned before.

And that is just such a CRAMMING WASTE OF ENERGY! 💯

Because cramming takes a lot of energy, and deprives you of energy in the process. It’s stressful, it often cuts your sleep-time down (which is when memory is being transferred from short term to long term, too), and all of this can further impact your ability to perform well on the test the next (or just later that) day.

SO WHAT’S THE SOLUTION❓

You can start spreading out your study. If you want to know what that means and how to do it, watch the video below!🤗

Glad you like it! Cramming is not the answer to every study session though 😁
